I have been painting all my life. I am now a professional artist with a studio in Boise but I'll have studio space in Nampa beginning in April of 2023. I can paint all subjects, but absolutely love painting people. I specialize in oil and acrylic, and am proficient in watercolor. I also paint indoor and outdoor murals. I have taught mandala painting workshops, paint and sip parties, and was formerly a teacher for Young Rembrandts, teaching art at schools throughout the Treasure Valley.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Find out their current level of experience.
Ask what they hope to get out of the classes.
Find our how long they would like to take lessons.
My approach will be determined by these factors.
For those with little to no experience and who would like ongoing classes we can begin with the color wheel, composition, light and values, contour drawing, and choosing the right materials. We will complete a still life, landscape, and portrait. Again, focus and direction will be determined by the student.
Fot those who have a specific request I will respond directly to their needs.
For those who want to paint but have little experience, and would like to only take one or two classes, we will use templates and transfer paper to get the process started.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Three years of working under a professional artist.
A lifetime of painting experience.
6 weeks studying with a master oil painter with a focus on portraits.
10 months of teaching mandala painting classes.

Group Rate
A four hour class with 6 students, $40 per student. All supplies included.
Private Lessons
$45 for the first hour and $15 each additional hour of the session. Student purchases their own supplies.
How did you get started teaching?
I used to teach after school art programs for Young Rembrandt's. In 2018 I opened an art gallery and my business partners saw my painting skills and encouraged me to begin teaching, so I did.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
An art studio in Boise recently held an event highlighting local artists, but also created space for musicians, a campfire and potluck. This creates an atmosphere of community centered around art.
