Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Test prep: Take a practice ACT or SAT exam and go through results to see what we need to improve and/or improve subscore of previous tests
Math: Ask the student what he/she previously knows and is comfortable with and start there. I have textbook recommendations for Pre-Algebra and above that we can work with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have previous experience tutoring middle schoolers and high schoolers. As a part of Peer Tutors, I have been a Guided Tutor, where I mentored a study hall classroom, and have been a science and math Learning Center tutor during lunches.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Set goals you are comfortable with as well as your expectations for me and what you want our lessons to look like. Additionally, think about how you learn best and your own study habits to help me determine a pace!
