What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start by meeting somewhere and reviewing the student's equipment to allow them to easily come to understand what could be overwhelming at first.
And then we move to the streets of Chicago's Loop at at night for our first lesson in the field, where the street lights are bright enough to get good exposures, but the night is dark enough to force the student to use basic photography principals to achieve a decent photograph.
All work is done with the equipment the student has to foster the best working knoweldge of the materials they have readily available.
