I am very excited to help you on your journey of learning the oboe! Lessons are tailored for you--I would love to go over your goals and make sure what we cover in our lessons aligns with your aspirations.
I enjoy seeing my students get as excited about oboe as much as I do! Learning something new is about having the proper tools to achieve your goals. With oboe, I derive much joy seeing my students grow and progress.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I like to understand the musical background of a new student. When was their first experience of music? What is their favorite genre?
Second, I want to help them outline their goals for lessons. Do they want to learn a certain piece of music? What do they want to accomplish?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam with my BM in Music Business and oboe. I went on to work at Jones Double Reed Products as their Reed Testing Supervisor.
While at Jones I was able to participate in educational outreach endeavors such as reed making presentations at local K-12 schools. In the summer of 2019 I was a guest artist/instructor at the Illinois Summer Youth Music.
