I am a professional artist. I am also a graphic artist and have been for 25 years. I love to get very creative and work with student's however they wish as I'm pretty versatile in my style and approach to painting. If you prefer to make a piece that you would like to hang in your own home we can work on that as a project together. I can use the same approach that I use when I create custom pieces for my own clients, except you will be the one doing the painting! (With my guidance) :)
I sell my art for a living and so I am accustomed to working with people to create pieces that fit their personality and space. I take the same approach with students and let them lead as little or as much as they're comfortable and then plug-in to the flow so that we can cross the finish line together with a finished product that we can both be very proud of, and learn a few things along the way.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I let the student take as little or as big of a lead as they wish. I want to plug into a process with them that is very organic and creative. I can supply the creativity if that's not your comfort zone. We can also do art therapy sessions where I can guide you through an exercise, or we can create a piece for your own home or as a gift, whatever you wish let's talk about it
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a graphic Artist for 25 years and an art director in corporate America for five years. I have recently made the switch to full-time fine art creation that I've done that my whole life. I sell my paintings for a living I work primarily in acrylics.

How did you get started teaching?
I have taken the skills from my managerial years in corporate America fostering young professionals and mentoring them and combined that with my artistic skills to help others connect with their artistic selves.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask yourself what it is that you would like to accomplish by taking personalized lessons. Also ask yourself what finished product you would like from the sessions. And then start thinking long-term in terms of your development what is your desire/goals?
