An accredited college professor, Kyle Brooks is a saxophonist, woodwind doubler, composer, and educator based in the greater Chicagoland area. Offering lessons in saxophone, clarinet, flute, piano, music theory, and improvisation, Brooks holds degrees in both music education and performance, while currently finishing his doctoral degree in jazz performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. A musician of many styles, Brooks offers a comprehensive pedagogical approach that is steeped in a plethora of professional musical experience within the domains of jazz, blues, classical, rock, soul, funk, East Asian, and folk traditions.

Kyle is a professional, dedicated and experienced teacher. He is an accomplished performer and a well rounded experienced multi-cultural artist. Ive enjoyed being a colleague of his for the past several years. I would Kyle as a teacher of students of all ages and skill levels!

Kyle was very professional, helpful, motivating, and dedicated. He always taught well and listened to our questions even better. Our concert was amazing and I felt that he spent the perfect amounts of time on each integral part of our necessary performance points. I would love to have another semester with him.
