I encourage my students to develop their own style, and give free rein to their imagination on canvas or paper. I will guide you to your self-discovery by teaching you the various techniques to give full flight to your latent talent.

I customize my lesson plan to my student, rather than force the student to follow a generic plan.

I am a self-taught artist. My paintings have been exhibited and won awards at various juried art shows across the country, both physical and virtual. My works are held in private collections in the United States, Canada and Singapore.

    Sanjukta is a wonderful teacher. She has a great deal of knowledge and natural talent that she shares with me at every lesson. She started from what I knew upon starting and brought me to where I now am.
    I have learned a tremendous amount about Gouache watercolor painting, to blend colors, shade, etc.. I also worked with alcohol pens and colored pencils to draw a macaw and am now learning to paint a landscape with gouache watercolors which have been great for a beginning painter. I look forward to every lesson and highly recommend Sanjukta to painting students of all levels.

    I assess what level the student is at. Any artwork/s the student has is the best indicator of the level the student is in.

    I customize my teaching plan based on the assessment, and the pace at which the student can progress.

    I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Advertising and Marketing, as well as a degree in Applied Art from Academy of Fine Arts.

    I charge $15 for an hour of lesson. I charge the fees for four classes upfront. The student  will be required to bring their own art materials.

    I provide one trial class to get to know the student.

    I have worked with both adults and children, in both group and one-on-one settings.
