What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to find out about my students interests and favorite medium. For beginners we start with shading and highlighting techniques. For more advanced or experienced students we go through reference materials and choose something to work on.
Sketching is a good start but I am open to my students opinion.
I have a lot of patience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
i am an educated teacher. I have taught everything from Montessori school through college courses.
I attended Loyola to study fine art and medical illustration, have numerous published pieces mostly commercial art, I have a masters in education in fine art and science.
