Celebration Of Everyday - Watercolor And Painting Lessons

Painting in watercolors is my key to the secret garden, my way down the rabbit hole, my looking glass. Seeing my mother paint started it all. From an early age, seeing the process of transforming what was in the front of the eye onto paper always peeked my curiosity and struck me as magical. And over the years, that magical process went deep transforming from hobby to art.

I would truly like to dispel the belief that watercolors are difficult. With an emphasis on technique and fun, anyone can learn watercolors!

Painting is all about connecting with my inner self. It's uplifting in spirit, it’s serious play, it’s invigorating and the unpredictable flow of water connects deeply with my personality. I tend to paint from the inside out. Though I work quite deliberately, consciously employing both traditional and innovative watercolor techniques, my inner emotional self is the undisputed guide.

My signature painting style is to paint loose, with values and colors that please and appease but all my images are meant to attract the viewer by virtue of their simplicity. My paintings are a celebration of our everyday lives and when I work with watercolors, I am reminded of the spontaneity that is life, color that has the capacity to transform and take on any mood and how beautiful our universe truly is.
