Hi! My name is Sofia Radice and I am on the road to become a basketball coach/trainer. I currently play college basketball at Quincy University. I was fortunate to receive a division 2 scholarship coming out of high school at West Chicago Community High. I specialize in guard training and teaching young athletes more about the sport of basketball. I work with all ages and am very passionate about what I do. I’m currently in school to become a personal trainer. I train some young athletes back at school on my off days and would be more and happy to provide my services while I’m at home in West Chicago. I have access to gym space and very flexible hours. All skill levels are welcome! My service fees are very flexible and I am more that happy to come up with a fair price for the both of us!
Sofia was so kind and encouraging. She dealt with my son’s frustrations in ways that brought him back into the lesson rather than turning him off. She built her lessons around both his interests (shooting) and the basics that aren’t always fun. She engaged him, was genuinely interested in him and encouraged him at every point.
Everyday we start off with an active warmup, ballhandling is a necessity each session. I specialize in working with guards and emphasize ballhandling, passing, and shooting.
I have a lot of experience for my age. I help train kids at a nearby gym in Naperville during the summers, coached for The Truth Basketball, and train kids back at school on my off days!
I typically charge $25 an hour but am also flexible with pricing! I am willing to negotiate a fair price if $25 an hour does not fit!
I got started teaching in High School during my career children would ask me if I could work with them. I also worked out of my AAU academy with both boys and girls over the summer during our shooting camps. Now, I also train kids on my own back at school during season on my off days!
