About

Music is not one size fits all. I try to meet the student where they are at and build upon their unique tastes and talents rather than have them conform to me. Although I do have materials that I frequently use, there is no pre-established formula or rigid syllabus. I enjoy the opportunity to create new materials and techniques when appropriate and think outside of the box.

I enjoy being able to help others discover the language of music as they grow as players, listeners and become better versions of themselves.

Patrick is a great teacher and has helped me to come a long way in guitar in a short amount of time!
I was nervous to study guitar as an adult because I knew I wanted to improve but didn’t have a clear vision on how to do so. Patrick sat down and helped me set clear goals and work towards them in a non stressful, fun way. If you don’t understand something he quickly finds new ways to explain it or a different approach and is very patient and also very knowledgeable. He leaves space for questions and fun tangents, but also keeps the lesson focused and engaging.
He’s a very flexible teacher too schedule wise and has a good teaching style of challenging you and meeting you right where you’re at. I previously could just play chords but have moved on to basic improvising , jazz standards, some pop stuff that I requested to learn as well as a lot of general music theory I didn’t know.
    Highly recommend Patrick!!!

Patrick is a great teacher l, I would absolutely recommend him!
I started with Patrick about 6 months ago and we have weekly sessions. In that time I feel like a made major progressions in playing, with big differences even noticeable on a weekly basis due to the tips he provides that changes your thinking about how to play certain chords. His teaching method is based on a chord book he developed which incorporates increasing difficulty of chords and strumming patterns as you proceed, as well as teaching based on indiv song preferences; so, you are learning to play by practicing the songs you love! Even if a chord sheet for a specific song is not available, Patrick goes out of his way to make it himself! He is easygoing, takes his time to explain things properly and no request is to little! If you want to learn how to play guitar he is absolutely the person to go with!
