About

I'll ask my clients what they want to improve on along with viewing player tendencies and give my opinion on how I can improve your game. We'll set a roadmap with short term and long term goals and I will give my all in directing to get you there.

I enjoy seeing growth in my clients along with their overall joy in playing the game of basketball. Basketball is more of a sport and values learned within the game will assist the overall character of an athlete overtime in life. I enjoy making an impact both on the court but being someone that is happy to offer guidance off the court as well.

Frequently asked questions

I want to know exactly from my student or parents what core areas they are looking to improve upon be it shooting, defense, footwork, speed/ agility, or passing. If shooting is the case, we'll get shots up until their arms are sore. I'll go through a series of drills and take not of the flow and success of each workout so we can continue to implement and grow each session. Week 1 will be a grind but after a few more sessions it will seem like a warmup. I will do my best to work with each player and their specific shooting style and will offer suggestions on form to improve upon. I can guarantee I will have a positive impact in their improvement. Should you not be satisfied, I will return all money not spend on gym rental.

I  have an semi extensive career playing in the Illinois Catholic League through high school before injuries stopped any future pursuits short. Along with playing career, I have worked in the Sports media field and graduated from Northwestern University with a Masters in Sport Administration. Between reffing and some coaching, I have a extremely high IQ in the game of basketball along with an athletes personal pyschology in the game.

I currently am planning to charge $40 an hour starting out and I anticipate a majority of that going to the gym rental. If we add a brother or teammate, I will also offer discounts for working with an additional player if that is of interest. I anticipate going long on lessons and if the gym allows it, I'll happily extend a workout.

After finishing college, I looked at playing a pickup game or a rec league game as an escape from the real world. I grew up at the park shooting hoops and if I was at home, you bet there was a basketball game on the tv. I made mistakes in my career so I take pride in offering assistance or guidance to a player looking to improve their game.

I've worked mainly with players from 3rd through 8th along with high school athletes both currently playing or trying to make teams. I also have worked with a few older men trying to learn a new craft. I can adapt to skill level regardless of age and competetive level. The goal is to make an improvement and I will get you there.

Write some short and long term goals. If its improve my free throw shooting percentage in one month, then come up with a game plan and document workouts. At the end of your daily workout, shoot free throws non stop until you make 10 in a row. Once a week shoot 50 total to see where you are at percentage wise. Try being realistic with your skill set but also push to get it done. Develop a game plan, then get after it. I'll be there to motivate and give guidance in that pursuit.
