Brandon Xu, Cello Teacher

Students of all levels welcome! Learning to play the cello is an incredibly rewarding pursuit, and I look forward to helping all students achieve solid technical and musical foundations. In my experience, you get what you put in; whether you are interested in casual lessons for a relaxed way to keep up a hobby, or you are a serious student interested in diving deeper into a passion.

Professional cellist with degrees in performance from the Eastman School of Music, Indiana University, and the University of Michigan and 10+ yrs performance experience with ensembles such as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.

Previous teaching experience includes coaching and masterclasses for the Illinois Symphony Youth Orchestra, and the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance.
