What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Since this is a wind instrument, beginning students will learn correct breathing along with this, correct posture and the history of the instrument and it's relationship to meditation. We will learn beginning notes and follow with Japanese folk songs like, 'Sakura'. Many techniques are taught as the student progresses and they learn to compose their own songs.
