What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I ask what type of learners are they(visual, auditory, kinesthetic).I need to know what they now and what they don't. So I know what topic they need help with. I would see how they work and what method they use in solving problems.

I think it all depends on a type of student because every one learns different. And it math there are a lot methods how to solve a problem and it depends on a person what is easier for them.
How did you get started teaching?
I always help my friends if they are stuck and I help my teacher, like explaining someone a topic one more time or grade/check other students work.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Try to find someone with the same type of mind, so teacher and student will communicate easier. Also, teacher has to be patient and understanding
