About
An award-winning artist for over twenty years, I teach abstract and realistic painting and drawing out of my studio at Chicago's Bridgeport Art Center.
I love sharing my passion and expertise with students wishing to explore their creative side or improve their painting and drawing skills. I regularly get five star reviews from my students who appreciate my enthusiastic teaching style. I meet the student where they are and help them achieve their creative goals. Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I'm interested in learning what the goals are of each student. What do you want to learn and why? What - if any - experience do you have? And what do you hope to accomplish? I want to be sure I meet the needs of the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture at the college level. I have taught abstract painting, sculpture as well as realistic drawing and painting for years out of my studio both in Chicago and in California.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $75. per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
Years ago, a friend asked me if I would give she and her family painting lessons, which I did for her, her husband, and her son. Things just evolved from there and I started teaching out of my studio in California and now in Chicago. I've been doing it for years and I love it!
