About
We are artists in our whole lives not just the studio. We understand and we can help. We specialize in super custom projects. The amount of expertise encapsulated in our intimate studio group is our main asset.
You know that everything is connected. When you ask for help you need someone who can cross disciplines with you to solve or refigure projects in the real world. In the real world things are not broken down into categories. You may want help breaking through your artist block. You may want help building something but don’t know where to start. You may be an artist that wants to get feedback or work through an issue with another artist in the comfort of your own studio. You may be at a crossroads in your life or a student who wants to learn at your own pace but you have already exhausted the YouTube videos that interest you.
We have over 20 years experience in each of the following categories:
teaching studio art,

making and repairing stringed instruments,
installation art and design,
home, boat and body rebuilds.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Individual or small group lessons:
Chicago, IL by appointment.
Price $80 per hour or $225 for 3 hours.
Up to 3 artists may join Marjorie in the studio. We will work on the subject and skill of your choice.
Some past ideas have been still life composition, portrait painting, painting from a master work, drawing or painting from the figure (addition fees apply).
One primed painting panel or paper is yours to use and keep. Additionally, acrylic paints, basic brushes, and a field easel will be available to use during the workshop. If you have your own supplies please feel bring them and experiment with mine as well.
If you are interested in learning to oil paint, that can be accomodated. If using my supplies additional fees will apply.
