About
I have a broad skill set that ranges from impressionism to realism, and some abstract. Proficient in acrylic and oil painting, color therory, and drawing with charcoal, graphite, and pastel. My students learn through hands on practice and constructive criticism. No judgments...everyone learns at different paces. I work with students to find their own style and technique.
I am very much driven by process and problem solving through exploration of trial and error utilizing honed skills I've practiced for over 30 years of my career. I enjoy helping students with their own self discovery through teaching the fundamentals of art making alongside personal coaching in order to build confedence. I put great care into my students progression.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start where my students need to. If they are a beginner then I review supplies first and how they can benefit in ones art making. I do a lot of demonstrations and assign homework. I make myself accessible via text or zoom for those students who feel stuck or just have a quick question. My process tends to flow with the progress of my student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a website www.tracyostmannhaschke.com where one can review my resume and career path which includes a BFA in painiting and drawing from Webster University and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I recently signed a contract with a new gallery, Springboard Arts, located in the heart of Bucktown in Chicago.
