Blessed with a powerful gift and I do not take it lightly. I have been singing since I was 6 years old and am a veteran in my craft. I am a singer/songwriter and recording artist and returned to school I enjoy teaching what I have learned throughout the years with people of all ages.

Music and the arts have always given me strength to withstand the storms of life and it encourages me when I see the impact my performances have on my audiences. My favorite part of teaching voice lessons is working with students who have never sung before, (but only dreamed about it), as an instructor it is my responsibility is to develop effective ways for them to find their voice. The icing on the cake is experiencing the metamorphic transformation of my students confidence and vocal development to be brave enough to perform confidently on stage.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Introduction-Get to know each other and goals they want to accomplish

Know your instrument

Warm-Ups

Sing- perform a favorite song as I observe techniques used and suggest improvements

End with "take aways" that can be applied moving forward and personal work is assigned until the next lesson

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been hired to lead praise & worship at numerous churches as well as singing in gigging and tribute bands such as The RSVP Orchestra, Simply Elton/Simply Billy and Deacon Blues. I also have been on tour performing my original music. I returned to school to study my craft and recently graduated with my Bachelors in Music. I plan on continuing my education to pursue my Masters Degree

How did you get started teaching?

I was a choir director as well as a voice instructor at the School of Rock.
