Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get to know the student so I can better understand where he/she need to improve at. I don’t waste time on things he/she will never do in a game. Everything is game specific.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I played D1 basketball as well as 9 years professionally.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Individual lessons starts at $30
Small group lessons start at $22
How did you get started teaching?
I started four years ago after I got done with my professional career.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with kids starting in 4th grade all the way up to college and professional.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Had the opportunity to work with the Ohio State men’s basketball program.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you hire someone that’s going to teach you the right things and actually make you better. So many skill coaches out there don’t know anything and just put a athlete through Instructional drills but don’t actually teach them the game.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are my strengths?
what are my weaknesses?
what are my goals?
