StartCPR, Inc., founded in 2010 and based in Hinsdale, IL, delivers American Heart Association–approved training for healthcare providers and the general public. Founded by retired paramedic/firefighter Garry Watkins, the company teaches ACLS, PALS, and BLS for clinicians, along with Heartsaver CPR, AED, and First Aid, Family & Friends CPR, and Wilderness First Aid. Training formats include instructor-led classes at the Hinsdale office, AHA HeartCode online courses paired with hands-on skills sessions, and on-site programs for organizations. AHA-certified instructors also provide skills validation for learners who complete AHA online coursework through other providers. StartCPR serves groups across Chicagoland, Wisconsin, and Indiana with a 10-student minimum for on-site classes and no travel charges. Participants receive AHA course completion eCards the same day after class. Instruction follows current AHA guidelines and is designed to build confidence in responding to emergencies.
