What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first lesson will serve as an assement to decide if student and teacher are a good match and to create a lesson plan based on the student's needs, goals, and current ability level.

How did you get started teaching?
My first professional teaching experiences were over 20 years ago working for a social/cultural government program in Brazil. Since then I have had the privilege and fortune of teaching trumpet lessons, clinics, and materclasses in 11 countries including South, Central and North America; Europe; and Asia. I have performed and taught in 35 different states in the USA. I have held teaching professorships at Hope College in MI, Grand Valley State University in MI, and Lake Forest College in IL.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught students in all level of development, including young beginners, adult beginners, comeback players, middle and high school, college performance majors, amateurs, and professional trumpeters. I have worked with students from 5 to 70+ years of age.
