Moving Into Freedom
About
I offer a style of yoga that is a slower pace with longer holds with a key emphasis on the movement of breath into the area that is being stretched. It works for all levels.
I also teach mindfulness through meditation. How to be more present and connected to yourself, your relationships and the living moment.
Additionally, I offer Life Partner Visioning. For people that have been feeling stuck in an way of life that is not inspiring or fulfilling them. We first build a trusting relationship and through that trust offer guided visualization exercise's that open the client to a new vision. Then we partner together on creating a plan on next steps to bring this new life into reality.
My work is inspired by Yin yoga, sitting meditation with breathing awareness, Feldenkrais Method, Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapy.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I offer a variety of services that all enhance the clients mindfulness and connection with self and life.
My style of Yoga is done much slower, ideally designed for students who are not very flexible but seek to reconnect with the body. Although I work with many seasoned yogi's as well.
My life partner visioning is designed to support people that are feeling stuck or lack of purpose in an area or all of their life. To partner together as a team to identify through guided meditation exercises and engaging questioning to build a new vision and plan to bring in the new life. I seem to attract most often people who are looking for a new relationship to their career and/or desiring to have a different romantic relationship life.
Lastly, I offer full body massage. This allows clients that have so much going on in the physical body to relax and be more open to getting in touch with the energy body within.

I have been certified in two different Life Coaching programs, most notably The Empowerement Institute out of Rhinebeck, NY.
I have also be certified with The Embodied Life School in Sebastopol, CA which my studies focused on Feldenkrais Method, Focusing (Founder Gendlin), Non-Violent Communication (Rosthenberg), sitting meditation, and guided inquiry.
I am certified in Mindful Yin Yoga through the Mindful Yoga Academy based in Spain, but my studies were in Milwaukee, WI.
I am now in a two year training in Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapy that end in 2019.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching in 2006. It started by feeling lost in finding my path in the "laid out path" of the Western society. Finding my sense of self and vocation felt extremly forced and inauthentic.
I was then introduced to a Life Coach in 2005 and from there my heart began blossoming and my awareness started to grow. I was then able to discern what I wanted verses what the voices of outside influences in my head wanted for me.
I have now worked with over 400 clients in 11 nations around the world and feel honored to work with individuals in such a personal, community like way.
What types of students have you worked with?
My oldest client was 82 and my youngest was 19.
I have worked with all different nationalities both in person and sessions over Skype.
Typically clients that seek me out are looking for a deeper connection to life. To have a sense of enthusiasm and purpose for waking up and beginning a life that is exciting by their measures.
I have also specialized with senior citizens over the past eight years.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have most recently become very interested in loose leaf tea ceremonies. I am a fan of Pu-Erh (sounds like Pu R in Chinese) tea.
I also love to work on improving the asthetics of my home here in Evanston, IL and riding my bike around the neighborhood.
Loving my friends and family is central to my life's purpose. I have two kids under the age of 4.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
While you are searching for the right teacher, I encourage you to make sure you feel comfortable and that you can sense in your body that you can feel safe with this person.
Making life changes requires vulnerability so its extremely important that you feel like you can be your full self with your humor, your interests, your body, and your belief systems. Find someone that is not looking to impose their belief system on you, but support you in building the best life on your beliefs.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
If you were to be handed a note from your doctor that said you only had a few months to live, would you change anything about your life now? Would you die feeling that you gave your best effort and that the world knew who you truly are?
What is the easiest thing for you to talk about yourself?
What is the hardest thing to talk about yourself?
If you were to make the courageous decision to work with someone to improve on your life, what would be your ideal outcome?
