About
I think my service stands out because I connect with all age groups. I love art and how great creating it makes you feel. I want to share that feeling and knowledge with others.
I enjoy seeing my students surprise and awe when they create something wonderful. It is a very fulfilling bonus for me. I've even had a student sell her first painting she did with me on Etsy. She was so excited!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Each session is directed by the intention of the client. We create art in tandem using a variety of media and explore the process of art making in both two and three-dimensional art.
In individual sessions, we strive to address each person's needs and desires, such as; tapping into one's creativity, addressing life changes such as divorce and loss of a loved one, social anxiety, peer pressure or other transitional life changes. Individual sessions are offered for both adults and children.
Every session is concluded with a discussion of the experience and future goals of the client.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Like most art professionals, I have explored many areas in the arts.
After receiving my Masters in Fine Arts from New York University, I pursued a successful career creating large scale public art and was represented by five galleries nationally and two international galleries.
Twenty years later I received my Masters in Art - Art Therapy from The School of the Art Institute and became a licensed ATR.
I have also been represented by six galleries nationally and have made a career of selling my art to major collectors and corporations.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge by the hour, and that price refelcts the individual instuction I provide as well as the cost of materials.
What types of students have you worked with?
I worked in Pilsen counseling adolescent girls. I then worked at The Art Project in Uptown with Bosnian refugees and two years later wrote an Illinois State Grant to provide a full time art therapy program for Rice Child and Family Center in Evanston.
On the North Shore, I worked as a consultant for the NSSED (North Suburban Special Education District), focusing on the needs of children with autism.
Through the Psychotherapy Credentials Board, I provided training for social workers, mental health practitioners and educators in art therapy. I continue to work with individuals and groups exploring their "inner artist".
