What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start with a conversation about expectations. Where you’re at and where you’re trying to get to. Then we can come up with a plan and schedule that works for you!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$25/hr - I feel like an hour or two is long enough to dive deep into a lesson without being too long or drawn out. But I can accomodate half day/full lessons if needed.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching by being a guest teacher at local camera clubs.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with students of all ages with a variety of expectations. People shooting with a minimum of gear for fun to people wanting to learn about everything plus the kitchen sink.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Feel free to be explicit about what you're looking for. If you want to learn about wildlife photography, then you don't want to be taking lessons from expert in street photography.
