What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out what they are wanting to do with their photography or photoshop work and design lessons that are tailored to the skills they will need to accomplish their goals.
With photography and photoshop there are many variables to understand, some options work better for specific results than others do. Understanding the options and knowing when and why to use each one is essential to creating the final image you have in mind. I understand the variables and teach my students how to identify and then solve the problems they will face.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Associates degree in Photographic Production Technology from SIU.
Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsman, Master Artist and Certified Professional Photographer through the PPA accredidation and degree programs. These are earned through extensive educational and image competition designed to teach and then prove excelence of ability.
I am also a nationally recognized instructor in photography and photoshop techniques in the PPA programs.
