Mr. Snow is so enthusiastic about his teaching, and is incredible at coming up with new ways to practice passages if youre having trouble! You can tell he really cares about all of his students!

    Frequently asked questions

If the student is brand new i make sure the set-up is correct. Bow hold, left hand shape and positioning are highly stresed. After that  i review level of the student and then assign apprpriate repertoire etc

I've  had over 30 yrs of teaching private cello students and performing in some of the best classical music organizations in the area. These include playing with the lyric opera of chicago, chicago philharmonic, chicago sinfonietta, lake forest symphony etc.

    $32 = 1/2 hr

    $48 = 3/4 hr

    $64 = full hour

I started teaching during college to make extra money.  I realized then that teaching actually helped me as a player because i had to explain things to students that i had to understand muself as a cellist in order to improve. I consider teaching  a very important part of being a complete musician

    All types, all ages

I recently participated  in an online recording session with the Chicago Philharmonic. It was very challenging and I think the result will be of a very high level. I am keeping very active during the coronvirus by teaching all students via facetime or zoom. I even  reconnected with a former student who lives in Thailand. There is a twelve hour time difference do scheduling is quite a challenge!

Try it out a couple of times. You will know if its a good match (for both) right away

How flexible can the teacher be schedule-wise?  Everyone is busy with outside activities,  teachers included.

Does the teacher do recitals where the students can p,ay thier pieces?
