The Art Cart

As a Certified Dementia Practioner with degrees in both recreation therapy and studio Art. I have s passion for working with persons who require adaptive assistance. Many of my clients over the past 25 years have had aquired brain injuries, strokes, Alzheimer’s type dementia, neurological and physical limitations. My philosophy is simply that the creative process is healing and is not dependent on ones physical or cognitive status. That is to say that creatvity is not dependent on memory or ones physicality. It is in the process of making of art that one gains a renewed sense of purpose and accomplishment. It is simply the joy of creating that enables each of us to feel the ever powerful life changing healing effect that such activities provide. I enjoy creating art with people where they are most comfortable in their own home or other living environments hence the name Art Cart I come to you.
