Bob is not only a very talented artist he is also a delight to work with. He is very creative and has a personal approach to his art. He excels in drawing, painting and multi-media. Not only is he versatile in his mediums but he is versatile in his subject matter. His animals, landscapes, still lifes and people are equal in solid composition, textures, color, correct scale and perspective. His palette is consistent with his delicate brushstrokes, both are uniquely his own. He is easy to work with, adheres to deadlines, and has wonderful communication skills. It is a joy to work with Bob and a honor to display his work. I can confidently recommend him as a fine person, artist and businessman.

Bob is not only a very talented artist but also an amazing teacher. His work with our kids is well planned and each lesson stresses an important aspect of art theory and/or technique. The best part is that the kids come away enjoying the experience and looking forward to more. We are lucky to have found Bob and are grateful for his creativity and patience.

Over the years I have obtained 9 paintings by Bob that hang in my home. I love his art and painting philosophy. And I love being inspired by it on a daily basis. Hes also a real joy to work with, which many of my friends -- who have also liked and so purchased his work -- can attest to!

Bob encourages his student to think fast, get paint down on the canvas, see colors in ones subject beyond the ordinary. He is adamant about observation of detail but also wants personal interpretation. His approach brings out new creativity in his student. He is the best!!!

    Frequently asked questions

Art is a personal endeavor. It’s important to understand an individual’s goal in their pursuit of art as an expression in their life. Once a goal is established which can be from one day up to a lifetime, then we work towards that end through a series of tactical explorations, understanding the architecture of art and he ability to gain control of the medium that the student chooses to work with.

My training is self taught. I didn’t have the wherewithal to afford an education but I had a passion for art. I set forth many years ago to learn my craft, so I read, I produced a lot of bad artwork, I learned from my mistakes. Now I own that information and apply all that I have learned over the years into each bew piece. And now I gladly share my knowledge.

Pricing is by the hour with a minimum of one hour increments. The typical session is two hours. Pricing starts at $45 an hour. That is for one or 2 individuals. For multiple participants, the pricing is $25 for 3 or more, up to 10 participants

I have held a number of art shows at my house. I had a few inquiries as to teaching. I extended it into dinner and art evenings with a few close friends. It has grown.

I have worked with children from the ages  of eight years of age through adults in their mid 70’s.  I have also taught highly functional special needs children.
