About
Zack Artistry provides high quality fine art designed and presented to have lasting value. Both Ed and Carol have advanced degrees in Art and Art Education and have taught art in public schools, three universities and colleges and adult art centers. We offer drawing and painting classes and workshops for adults. We also provide expert custom framing unique to specific drawing, painting and printmaking mediums. Small classes and high standards in visual presentation are integrated into an adult learning curiculum that is used for teaching, consulting and arriving at a finished art work.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
* Provide introduction time and ask why they registered for an art class. Ask about their expectations to establish time frame for success.
* Discuss required types of Materials for success*
* Show Visual Examples and Engage in Demonstration time to establish best practices for success.
*Provide relevant safety guidelines, various support handouts and on-line resources designed to provide added exemplars and visual aids for deeper and broader learning.
* Review relevant concepts, skills and behavior for success through critiques and class presentations.
* Important to know what can be achieved and to establish a realistictic objective to end with a feeling of success.
Time for a review and to have a group critique to showcase what was accomplished during class time.
* Clean up and individual Goodbyes with eye contact.

1976 Graduate Teaching Assistantship Awarded, University of Illinois, Champaign, Illinois
1979 Master's degree in Arts Education from The University of Illinois, Champaign, Illinois

I charge $20.00/hour. Time spent with student must be 2-3hrs/session generally once/wk.
