Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
All of our teachers work within their own method, but the consensus of the school is to make music fun and inpiring. The teaching style is also determined by the student. For a child we encourage going through books and learning note reading. Teenagers and adults might prefer to learn how to jam and play songs from their favorite artists. Our teachers do a great job developing a proper base to grow on. Proper posture and holding the instrument correctly are key beginnings as well as tuning.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our teachers are college graduates in music/ teaching or are working professionals in music.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are paid in 5 week blocks of $135 ($27/ half hour).
We offer a family discount if there are 3 or more half hour lessons in a single household which comes to $120 ($24/ halp hour) per student. That is a savings of $3 per lesson.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with students of any age and learning ability. A common question we get is "What age do you start lessons?" For young kids, it's the interest level of the child and/ or the desire of the parent. The main thing regardless of age is the student needs to sit and be attentive for at least most of the half hour lesson. We are happy to teach students with learning disabilities as well. There is nothing better than music to help with the learning process in all areas.
