I love photography and I believe that sharing knowledge will elevate the profession. As someone once said “a rising tide carries all ships”. By teaching photography skills and techniques we all benefit from better photographs. I am also a Certified Professional Photographer.
I love helping people. I love helping people learn. I enjoy seeing the proverbial "light bulb" coming on for people as they discover new concepts or have that "aha" moment, especially when it comes to photography. I truly enjoy seeing the progress that my students make as they learn more about their camera, how to use it, and watching their photography skills improve. As they gain confidence, it is wonderful to see them take off on their own and produce amazing photos.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We typically start from the very beginning, explaining photography concepts and the very basics of what students will need to know to operate their camera to get the best photographs possible. I also have exercises and homework to help students apply the knowledge they learn in class.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Professional Photographer, a member of the Professional Photographers of America, and I have been in business since 2010. I focus mainly on portraits and lighting.
