About
With over 20 years of basketball experience, I bring championship-winning knowledge and passion to every session. I played high school basketball at Ben Davis, winning two championships as a player and one as a coach, and also earned a national championship at Taylor University Fort Wayne. I provide a focused and motivating environment where athletes improve from day one. Your child will develop key skills in ball handling, defense, shooting, and overall physical fitness.

Virgil is an excellent trainer/coach that is equally good at training young, inexperienced players (grade school age) as well as more experienced older kids (highschool age). Virgil, Coach Tibbs, has been instrumental in the development of my youngest (he is now a senior) and I credit much of his success to the patience and effort of Coach Akers.

The opportunity was knowledgeable for me in my son plus family and close friends
we went on many summer tournaments, practice twice a week had 1 on 1 seasons which he help build my son speed and awareness on field and on court
His defense skill is now out standing and endurance for a 11/12/13 year old was able to run with high schooler in which my son was granted that amazing chance with HDB
Me in my son Mom(Renika) attend all functions sport wise we had to learn to give all access to couch Virg in order for our son to listen and learn meaning drop him off to training sessions not attend which cause distractions and lose of focus
Before HDB my son couldn’t made the team at Southport Middle School starting his 8th grade year he was the leading tackle in football middle line backer and now playing on the 8th grade basketball team
HDB Training was well needed and looking forwards to another training season this coming off season as well
