About this pro

I am Skill Enhancement trainer with I’m Possible Training at Greenwood Community Center. I focus on developing a players skill plus challenge there skill level. I thrive to push players to new limits and to translate trainings to game like settings.

I have a true passion for seeing development in the game for players. I love to see players accomplish a goal that they didn’t think could be achieved. Whether it’s dribbling with their left hand, making a layup, winning a championship or making a school/college team. I have coached basketball for 8years in the high school and middle school level in KY and IN. Find me on facebook @kowenspossibletraining, Instagram Kowens_possible_Training and Twitter Koballtraining

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I had kid come to me in august saying I really want to make my 8th grade team. I worked with him for two months focusing on the types of skills to better him as a player.  He ended making his eight grade team.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Look for a person that will breakdown teaching drills so that the student will understand and get concept. Once understood to be able to push the student to new limits and don’t let them go thru the motion.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

To be able to come up with a list of three things they are good at and three things that they need to work on.  Second  develop a short term goal and a long term goal.
