Alot of postural alignment, to movement, to alleviate symptoms of discomfort and aging.
Foster understanding and growth of individual, based on their desire and practice and growth.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
12,000 hours of practice and study, under multi-faceted yoga brands/lineages. Learning, studying, and teaching over the past 15 years using proven techniqes and practices. I've developed yoga programs at a major community hospital in conjunction with Pain Management to help students with their therapeutic and rehabilitation needs. Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I can travel to you: a location of your choice to do a training, a gym, a park, in your home (if you have a place you prefer to practice)... your office, gymnasium, church... I'm open to accomodating your needs. RATE: $90 for 75 minute session.
Determinate upon furthering a teacher/student relationship, I am open to working out an alternate payment schedule for longterm or frequency... for example, if you want 2, 3, 4 classes a week, I can offer a small discount to help with budgeting.
How did you get started teaching?
I was injured, and was beginning to hear about alternatives like yoga. After following up and attending a few classes... I began to feel better. I continued to practice, so that I could learn to do self-care and development, throughout life. My experience has radically changed me and now I help others to find that place within their own story/path.
What types of students have you worked with?
All Types: Many body types and conditions have been seen and addressed using simplified movement instructions and guided meditation.
I have a therapeutics program in a local hospital for 9 years. I get the opportunity to work with many issues in the body... you name it, I'm confident that I've worked with it before...
Overall, I enjoy learning people's stories... what defines them, and helping propel them towards accomplishing their goals.
I've learned, very importantly, that everybody is unique, and that there are also many commonalities... such as the pursuit of happiness... a quest that I hope every person embarks upon.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I really love to count my blessings everyday. Peace is everywhere and abundance overflows in me. I hope you have the same blessings of health and heart.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for teacher experience and results.
Try to experience different modalities so you know what you like.
All yoga is not equal... for example, some yoga practices will make you zone-out, some yoga practices will teach you to zone-in. The type that makes you want to zone-in will likely lead to lasting, desired results and positive transformation.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Goals.
What resonates with them...
For example, are you an athlete, a professional, a musician? A parent, a child, a teacher? There is a lot to consider, but the more you share with your instructor, the better they can resonate with you and find ways to propel you towards personal accomplishment and excellence.
