James Isaac Woodwind Lessons

-I have been teaching private lessons for over 20 years. I have also taught lessons, classes, and ensembles at the college level for over fifteen years.

-I perform music professionally. I have played and recorded both locally and nationally in various groups and styles.

-My approach is customized to the needs and abilities of my students. Enjoyment of the lessons (for both student and teacher) is based largely on the feeling of making progress, so I always make sure my students accomplish something during our time together

-My education includes a bachelor's degree from the UMKC Conservatory and a master's degree from the Eastman School of Music

-Continuing to grow as a teacher; finding better, clearer ways to communicate concepts.

-Watching my students grow and blossom as they learn their instruments.

-Being able to spend time, and form lasting friendships, with people that have a genuine interest in bettering themselves and have a passion for music.
