About
I have coached & taught multitudes of successful students for over 30 years, both in voice & piano performance and in pageantry. * Hundreds of winners in talent contests & pageants @ the local, state & national levels!
I produce two voice/piano recitals each year and give my voice students the opportunity to record in the recording studio. Each year, my students eagerly await these coveted opportunities to shine!
Helping them envision and achieve their goals is my chief concern - I expect the best from them with outstanding and excellent results!

I thoroughly enjoy each and every student that I teach! in person or online, my mission to to not only make them feel special and have fun while learning, but to also discover their true potential! For me, teaching isn't a means to an end, but a calling - this is what I was put on this earth to do!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, I qualify the student on their current knowledge and ability level within the parameters of their age & type of lessons they have signed up for.
*If working with a new voice student, I test their vocal range, listen for intonation and ability to match pitch. I ask them what types of music they listen to and prefer singing. From there, I initiate them to proper techniques, vocalization and songs fitting both their level & preference.
My students love being able to help select the songs they learn to sing! (Because of that, they actually practice!)
*If working with a new piano student, I ask them (or their parent) if they read music, and if so, I test their current knowledge so I know what book level to place them in. I also encourage a certain amount of playing by ear - which I help the student to relate to the music they are learning to read. I also incorporate learning to play scales, which also aides in reading music! And - last but certainly not least, I always encourage having fun!
* When working with a new pageant student, I prequalify them (or their parent), by asking how many pageants they have competed in, what placement they have received and their goals for entering the pageant they are currently in. I also ask what they would like me to focus on working with: interview skills, modeling, stage presence, talent, public speaking etc. Knowing that, I proceed with their individual customized lessons, and look forward to seeing them achieve the title they're seeking!
