About
I am an International Award-Winning Romani American Artist with a wide range of world experience and interests. I explore my world through various mediums, including acrylic, oil, and watercolor. My artwork often features themes of animals, fantasy, history, landscapes, Romani culture, and seasonal motifs.
Artistic heritage runs deep in my family, tracing back to notable artists and artisans such as jeweler and tinsmith William Sharpless, author, healer, and naturalist John George Hummel, and Hummel figurine artist Sister Maria Innocentia (Berta) Hummel. I strive to honor the legacy of these ancestors through my work.
As the most experienced licensed Tattoo & Piercing Artist in Kansas, I bring formal training and decades of practice to my craft. I have been tattooing since 1976 and piercing professionally since 1990, with formal education in piercing. In 2008, I became one of the few worldwide to pass the Alliance of Professional Tattooist Tattoo Mastery Test. I was also appointed by Kansas Governor Mark Parkinson to serve on the Kansas Board of Cosmetology as the representative for Kansas Body Artists from 2009 to 2010. My philosophy is simple: “You can give someone the greatest body art in the world, but when you forget that it is about them and not about you, the art becomes something less than great.”
My artistic skills span various mediums and styles, including watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting. I create landscapes, surrealistic and abstract works, illustrations, and animal art. I teach multiple techniques that students can adapt to develop their own unique styles. Beyond art techniques, I offer life lessons intertwined with the art my students learn.
When you create a work of art, you embed a piece of yourself within it. Teaching someone to create art is sharing the divine gift you have received.
