I am a certified elementary teacher. I have a Reading Endorsement and am currently working on a Master in Deaf Education. I have experience teaching students in grades K-5 as well as Preschool.
My passion is to guide students in their endeavor to understand and properly use language and communication.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I begin working with a new student, I take time to learn what they already know. I talk to them and understand what they are comfortable with and where they need to go from there in order to reach their final goal. I build on their strengths and decide on steps that will strengthen their weaknesses.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified/licensed P-5 teacher. I have experience with tutoring all grade levels. I have added to my license by obtaining extra certification in Reading for grades K-12. I am currently working towards a Master degree to teach students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
I am also experienced in playing the flute and have intermediate piano skills.

Current pricing for lessons is $10 per half hour.
