    Frequently asked questions

At Winners Hoops, we are intentional about who we work with. We evaluate the commitment level of both the player and the parents, as long-term development requires a serious investment of time, effort, and finances. Our goal is to work with families who are truly ready to commit to their child’s basketball journey—we do not want to waste anyone’s time if that level of commitment is not in place. Our process begins with a phone consultation with a parent to discuss the player’s experience, goals, and long-term vision. The first on-court session is a skill evaluation, where we assess the player’s strengths, weaknesses, and overall readiness. Following the evaluation, Winners Hoops will decide whether the player and family are a good fit for the program. If accepted, we create an individualized workout plan tailored to the player’s specific needs and goals. Each player will also receive basketball “homework” in the form of weekly workout plans after each session to ensure continued progress outside the gym.

My journey in teaching basketball began through my own experience as a player. After competing at a high level, I realized that sharing what I had learned about the game—skills, mindset, and strategy—was incredibly rewarding. I transitioned into coaching and training because I wanted to help athletes reach their full potential, both on and off the court. Over the years, I’ve worked as a player, trainer, and coach, helping NBA and overseas professional players, running camps in 8 countries, and working with over 2,500 athletes worldwide. Teaching became a natural extension of my career, combining my love for the game with a passion for developing talent, building confidence, and mentoring the next generation of players.
We’ve trained NBA and overseas professional players, hosted camps in 8 countries, and worked with over 2,500 athletes worldwide. Our students range from beginners to elite high school and college players, all looking to improve skills, athleticism, and basketball IQ. Winners Hoops Basketball provides personalized, results-driven training that builds confidence, discipline, and leadership on and off the court.
When looking for a basketball coach or trainer, the most important factor is experience and results. Look for someone who has not only played at a high level but also has a proven track record of developing athletes—someone who can personalize training to your skills, goals, and growth areas. It’s equally important to find a coach who emphasizes both skill development and mindset. The right teacher will help you build confidence, discipline, and leadership, not just on the court but in life. Finally, make sure your goals align with the coach’s approach—whether it’s preparing for high school, college, professional play, or simply becoming a more complete player. Investing in the right coach is investing in your own potential, and it’s worth prioritizing quality and commitment over convenience.
