As a passionate artist educator, I offer up many years of experience and training to my students. I am a great coach of art making. I get students engaged with the process that leads to products. The emphasis is on the journey not the destination. I believe that is is my mission to tap into the artist within each student and my purpose is to serve as a creative guide and facilitator.
My credentials include teacher certification in five states. I am highly trained, having earned a M.F.A. and B.F.A and B.A. degrees. Have taught adults, undergraduates, secondary and elementary students in four regions of the country.
I love watching students become more aware of their own creativity and problem-solving skills.
I love watching people realize that art making serves as a metaphor for how we each have the power to mold and sculpt our own lives and develop our respective directions in life.
