About this pro

As the owner of James Penny Photography, LLC, I shot over 40 weddings, 2 of those international, and shot 100 special events. I started with Canon's first digital Rebel and used word-of-mouth to build a part time business, travel, and most importantly helped clients get superb photos at moderate prices.

I can also teach you in how to turn your photography into a brand that pays you $$$!

I enjoy helping people see the world anew through the lens of a camera while brining joy to those around them.

I was owner of James Penny Photography, LLC for 7 years and shot over 40 weedings and 100 special events.

How did you get started teaching?

After shutting down the business after marriage, I had the desire to pass on my skills and knowledge to help others not only take legendary photos, but to also become entrepenuers.

What types of students have you worked with?

People from all walks of life and ages. Have a camera, please apply!

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Hire someone who can train you to take photos, build a brand, and make money. Photography is an expensive hobby. If possible, turn it into a side hustle and make it pay for itself.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

You shold have at least 2 photos that you want to recreate by the end of your training. It always great to have realistic photo goals. Let me help you reach them!
