Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Start with genuine conversation getting to know them. What motivates them, what makes their motor run, their goals etc. Get a clear view of what they want to accomplish within the game. Identify weaknesses and build them into an asset on the court.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have received the regional most outstanding player award propelling my school to its First National tournament where we placed 2nd in the nation in 2007 at Northland Community & Technical College. I received an athletic scholarship to Pfeiffer University playing under coach Dave Davis where we were top 5 in scoring in all divisions of college basketball for the 3 years I was there.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$30 per session (1hour)
$50 per week (3 sessions)
$150 per month (as much work as you need)
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with people of all ages. Kids who want to make their school teams or older people who just want to stay or get in shape.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you are comfortable with him or her. Do your research.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be as honest with yourself as possible.
