What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have to meet with the parents/guardians (if training youth individuals) before setting up the driver training. I want to make sure I understand the need of the individuals before the training begins. I will meet the students wherever they are. I'm willing to work weekends and evenings.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a commercial drivers licence.

How did you get started teaching?
The passion for teaching started when I took my first drivers education class in high school.
What types of students have you worked with?
I’ve worked with students from the ages of 14 up to the age of 60.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The advice I would give a student looking to hire a teacher is to make sure you're looking for someone who's not trying to be a friend (initially), but rather someone who will challenge you to become the best driver there is.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The questions students should think through before talking to teachers about their needs are how would I become a successful, defensive driver? How can I continue to maintain a good safety driving record? How can I grow as a safe driver? How can I avoid any future accidents, if possible? How can I continue to develop my driving skills such as long distance driving, driving in less favorable conditions, traffic, etc.?
