Hi, my name is Anthony McDuffie. I am from South Mississippi and moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee from Slidell, Louisiana. I was an asst. baseball coach at Northshore High and Clearwood Junior High prior to moving to Tennessee. I have coached age groups from 5U thru 18U baseball and softball since 1985.

Objectives and Goals:

My objective is to prepare young players to compete by being fundamentally sound, mentally strong and have a high baseball/softball IQ.

During my playing career, I was extremely fortunate to have played for coaches that expressed the importance of proper fundamentals, positive motivation and teamwork. I always try to be a role model to the young men and women that I have coached over the years, both on and off of the diamond. My goal is to teach and pass on these same fundamentals and life lessons to all the players I have mentored over the years, and offer support to parents and coaches that have questions or concerns. I have developed a process over the years called: A. C. E.

(1) Attitude – a little thing that makes a big difference

(2) Coachable – willingness to listen and learn

(3) Effort – the best indicator of interest

I strive to lead by example and believe my previous playing and coaching experiences, technical knowledge, “hands-on” approach and ability to positively motivate individuals are some of my strengths. I am a firm believer that a positive attitude + positive reinforcement = confidence ball players. Their confidence will lead to individual success, on and off the baseball field - and that will always produce winning results, no matter the score!
