About

Hi! I'm Sahrynn, and I am a French/North American/Brazilian self-taught visual artist.

I have been working as an artist in a professional capacity since I was 19 years old, doing everything from t-shirt art to acrylic painting to traditional charcoal sketching and most things in between. I have been giving private lessons for the past 10 years, passing on what techniques I know and love, to give anyone who is interested a fulfilling means to express themselves. Whether you want to learn to sketch human figures or create abstract paintings, I would love to help give you the structure to pursue your passion (or just more deeply enjoy your hobby).

So, feel free to check out my Instagram: @sahrynn_art or Fabebook page: fb.com/sahrynnart, and get in touch!

I believe that everyone has some form of artist in them, and one of the most wonderful things in the world is giving someone the tools to explore that. I love teaching art to both teens and adults, and watching people discover their talent as they learn techniques that allow them to more freely express themselves in new ways. To me there is no such thing as someone who cannot draw or paint, only someone who has never learned, or has never had the opportunity to explore what techniques work best for them. Every student creates their own unique, personal work and style once they have found their voice, and I think that is beautiful.

Frequently asked questions

Whenever I meet a new student I inquire as to what their goals are, and what they would like to focus on. Are they looking to be a professional? Learning art for fun? Both? Neither? What mediums they would like to explore, what subjects they would like to cover (such as anatomy, or if they specifically have trouble with say, perspective, or proportion...) I will ask to see their work, if possible, so we can determine together what the best path is for achieving their goals.
