Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ask about the type of training a person has received in previous years with regards to CPR. I explore their job and where it’s likely to be used and offer scenarios during class that they are likely to encounter at their job.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors Degree from The University of Massachusetts. Courses to earn my degree were in the sciences...Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology and Health Education, so I have an understanding of the human body and how it functions. I’m certified through the American Heart Association and EMS Safety.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

How did you get started teaching?
I have volunteered my time to various organizations for many years. I have served on a board for a non profit organization for 5 years. I enjoy helping others. Learning CPR was something I was exposed to at an early age and I knew teaching CPR was something that was a good fit for me.

I provide FREE infant CPR classes to Teen parents. It’s ongoing.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who takes time and care in demonstrating the skills in providing high quality CPR instruction. I make sure to take the time to teach the skills properly, so that if my students are in an emergency situation, they will have the skills and confidence to help.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I appreciate and welcome guests. I’m committed to making the learning experience a good one, so if someone has a special request (for example, if a new Mom needs to bring her infant to an infant CPR class because she does not want to leave the infant in childcare, or a parent would like to attend a class with their minor child who needs certification to babysit, I understand completely and welcome the additional family member to our class)
