I have been in the field of EMS for over 20 years. In that time I have seen many patients drop because of sudden cardiac arrest. These victims have been saved by high quality CPR and early defibrilation. It is important that when someone goes into cardiac arrest, that bystanders can feel ready to care for that victim untile the first responders arrive.
