I love working with families to best understand the unique gifts or talents of each child and overcome any possible barriers that might interfere with learning. My services include individualized assessments (e.g. attention, executive functioning, academic achievement) as well as small group instruction in executive functioning using evidenced based interventions.
My assessment reports are carefully written so that families can readily recognize in the detailed findings a clear picture of their own child’s strengths and weaknesses. I hold a degree in Psychology and Elementary Education from Brandeis University. I completed my Master of Education degree with advanced certification in School Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University and completed my clinical apprenticeship in Manhattan. The best part of my work is working with children and seeing them make progress in their goals. I believe that learning is a very personal activity. It is best supported through connections made in the moment and with the support of skilled and caring instructors who know the content well but also have great interpersonal skills.

An intake with the student's parent(s)/guardian so that I can better understand the need. It also gives the family a chance to ask questions about our service.

I work with children as young as 6 years up to adults.
I am currenty teaching an executive functioning class and during on the lessons, a student in my class was able to explain to the class why she would prioritize homework over playing outside with friends. The other students listened carefully and agreed with her.
Like so many things in life, you want to find the right match. It will be important to do an in person interview and to ask a lot of questions.
