About this pro

I am not taking on any new students at this time because I am too busy. Sorry.

I have taught English, drama and math at the high school level, and am a classically-trained actor, who has worked professionally.

I was an MFA acting candidate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a graduate of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center.

I was a member of Providence's premier improvisational group, Improv Jones, for 10 years.

I am a full-time baseball scout for the San Diego Padres, but I have taught and coached in the off-season for 30 years.

Teaching anything, really, especially math, writing or acting.

I just had my first class with Kimball and it certainly won't be my last, he teaches with a great atmosphere and really tries to bond with you and get to know you so you can use your past experiences and put them into your art. I learned a lot in just one class and I cannot wait to learn even more!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Meet with them, see where they are in their process, then start teaching.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have coached high school basketball for 30 years.

I have worked professionally as a writer for more than 10 years and have taught high school English and journalism.

I was a top-notch math student and scored in the 99th percentile on my SATs.

I was a double major - drama and broadcast journalism - at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MFA acting candidate there as well.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Not at this time. I will work with my students to come up with a fair price.

How did you get started teaching?

I first started coaching basketball at the high school level 30 years ago. That led to substitute teaching and then to teaching.

What types of students have you worked with?

High school kids.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Every time I go to basketball practice.
